Acceptable Use Policy
CoreScanWP only reads pages a site already serves to any visitor, but you are responsible for how you use what it returns. This policy sets the ground rules for using the service.
Permitted use
- Scanning public websites out of curiosity or for research
- Assessing sites you own or are explicitly authorized to test
- Learning how a site is built and what it runs
Prohibited use
- Using results to attack, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to any system
- Scanning as reconnaissance for an intrusion you are not authorized to perform
- Automated abuse, scraping, or overloading the service
- Any use that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the target's
- Reselling or redistributing the service or its data as your own
Rate and fair use
The service is shared and free. Do not hammer it with automated requests. We may rate-limit, throttle, or block traffic that degrades the service for others.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, the
target site's terms of service, and its robots.txt. Our
expectations for responsible scanning are described in more detail on
the Responsible use page.
Enforcement
We may block IP addresses or restrict access that violates this policy, without notice.
