Cookie Policy
CoreScanWP uses the bare minimum of browser storage needed to work. We set no advertising, tracking, or third-party cookies. This page explains exactly what is stored, where, and why.
What we store
Two small values are saved in your own browser — nothing is written to a cookie sent back to our server:
- Consent choice — a single value recording whether you accepted or declined, so the cookie banner does not reappear on every visit.
- Language preference — the locale you last chose, so the language switcher can remember it.
The public vuln-db.json vulnerability database is not
one of those saved values. Your browser may keep a temporary copy of
it in its normal cache, the same way it does for an image or a
script, and clearing your browser cache removes it.
What we do not use
- No advertising or marketing cookies
- No third-party analytics or tracking pixels
- No cross-site or cross-device identifiers
- No cookies that are sent to our server at all
Managing your choice
You can decline non-essential storage from the consent banner. You can also clear everything at any time from your browser's site-data settings; CoreScanWP still works with storage disabled, it will just re-download the vulnerability database and re-show the banner.
Changes to this policy
If this policy materially changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Our full data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
